Today for show and tell in kindergarten we had:
1 Polly Pocket
1 Barbie Horse
1 stuffed puppy named butterfly
2 Batman dolls...I mean action figures
1 Roboreptile
1 pink make-up purse
And...
1 "Gardening" Angel "to watch over me and keep me safe." :)

Every kindergarten class needs a "gardening" angel to watch over them because you probably know that "kindergarten" comes from the German words for children + garden.
It is just assumed that the angel would also be a guardian angel. I am impressed by your student's knowledge of German and use of figurative language.
"It's not a doll; it's an action figure!" I thank Sheen from Jimmy Neutron for teaching me the difference.
Sounds like there was lots of quality showing and telling going on in your classroom. I love how excited they are to be the center of attention (some of them, anyway.) Long live show and tell!
I think on our next girls' night out we should have a show and tell time. We do lots of telling, but not so much with the showing. I'll bet we've all got some cool things that the others don't know about. Most of us should be able to find them, (ahem, Kim).
I love that idea! I'm bringing something next Friday for show-and-tell! (I'll be sure to make it something really shocking...)
Marci--I do, in fact, teach German and word origins in my kindergarten class. (Not really, but they kind of know English!) :)
Katrina--Gotta love Sheen! I have lots of action figures at my house and only two lonely Cabbage Patch dolls in the top of my closet.
Kathy--Great idea! I'm in!
