Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

jen--i can not read this verse without inflecting my own verbs/nouns naturally in each quote!!errrrr it makes it sound as my own verse and not the lords!! jmk--i'm working on it!!
